Hailing from a family of artists, Praveen Kumar showed a natural inclination towards Arts and Dance at a very young age. His tutelage under the eminent gurus Smt. Narmada and Prof.C.V.Chandrasekhar helped him realize the aesthetic depths, traditional of Bharathanatyam and dedicate himself wholeheartedly and purposefully to this ancient dance form.
Praveen is an accomplished nattuvanar and choreographer and has skillfully ideated several critically acclaimed productions to his credit including Rtu Vismruthi, Vani, Shiva Sutra Jaala, Sakha, Loka Bandhavyam, Anangha Vilasa , Pandharpur & many more.. Through his dance productions, he has explored aspects like climate change, fabrics, various complexities and nuances within interpersonal relationships, under-discussed dimensions of mythology, besides paying a tribute to cultural icons and poets like Mysore Vasudevachar, Sundaram Pillai, sage Panini.
From his flawless footwork to his layered understanding nritta, abhinaya and his skillful choreography, Praveen Kumar has consistently received critical acclaim over the years and has redefined himself as a performer, staying abreast with the times. He believes that learning is always two-sided and has strived to be relevant, without losing the essence of the form.
He has travelled extensively around the globe and in India, taking part in prestigious dance and music festivals and is also the founder of the Chithkala School of Dance at Bangalore.
Praveen Kumar – an empanelled artist of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and an ‘A’ grade artist on television – believes that dance is the ultimate medium of creative expression and has immense therapeutic value.

Yuva Kala Bharathi Smt. Krupaa Lakshmi is an AIR “B grade” artist and a regular in Chennai music scene. She was initiated into vocal by Veena Smt.R Ramani at the age of 6 and spent most of her teen years under the tutelage of Smt. Suguna Varadachari and is also a product of advanced school of Music at Music Academy Chennai. She is undergoing Hindusthani training from Shri.Sriram Parasuram. Krupaa is the recipient of the title Yuva Kala Bharati, Best vocalist at Music Academy’s HCL Concert Series ,etc to name a few. She has experience of singing professionally as part of major festivals across the globe. Additionally, Krupaa is an A grade Bharatanatyam dancer for Doordarshan. She has the privilege of dancing for the Dhananjayans, Anita Ratnam, The Narasimhacharis to name a few.
Yuva Kala Bharati Barghav Hariharan is an acclaimed vocalist who has performed more than 200 concerts across 3 countries. Having learnt most of his music from his father, who is a first generation disciple of Shri Thanjavur Shankar Aiyer and OV Subrahmanyam- Barghav then trained in Hindusthani under Shri Shriram Parasuram and furthered his skills in Carnatic music under Sangita Kalanidhi Shri GJR Krishnan. Best vocalist from Vani Mahal, Best Kutcheri in Sub senior from Iyal Isai Natalia Vizha, best Pallavi from Nadam Coimbatore are a few of his accomplishments.
Barghav and Krupaa as a couple bring a unique combination of singing in the same octave and have become widely well received for their voice blends and musical styles as a duet couple. They are travelling extensively across the globe and performing unique concepts such as dance kutcheris, katha kutcheris along with Sampradaaya kutcheris across the globe.
Umesh Venkatesan is a Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and nattuvangam artist. He has been a student of Bharatanatyam for over 30 years, and most recently has been under the mentorship of Praveen Kumar of Bangalore, India. Umesh’s collaborative works have appeared in programs such as the NY International Fringe Festival, the Erasing Borders Festival of Dance, and the DUMBO Dance Festival. His solo work has been featured in the U.S., Australia, Europe, and India. In addition, he has composed several jathis for Bharatanatyam. Umesh is also a trained vocalist with expertise in Western classical and popular music. Professionally, he is brain injury rehabilitation researcher and is on faculty at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia.
Ethirajan had the initial training from Ramanathapuram Sri. M.N. Kandaswamy Pillai. Later, he had the initial and advanced training from Sri. Sivashankara Reddy (disciple of Sri. M.N.Kandaswamy Pillai). Currently he has the versatile training from Sangita Kalanidhi Sri. T.K. Murthy and Sri. Sethalapathy B Sivaraman. He has a total of more than 2000 concerts to his list of concerts, all over India and Abroad.
He also had the privilege of representing the art(Mridangam) and the state(Minnesota) during India’s Prime Minister’s visit to US – Howdy Modi in Houston, TX, in September 2019
Ethirajan has also worked with many dance companies to provide support to Indian classical dance. He is one of the sought after mridangist in US for many productions and arengetrams.
Ethirajan has also undergone versatile training in performing for the namasankeerthanam. He has the credit of performing in multi-day festivals at ease, and is one of the few mridangists who possesses high caliber style in Carnatic, Bharatanatyam and namasankeerthanam styles.
Ethirajan is currently a principal Engineer at AT&T, USA.
Visveshwar N is a renowned flautist who carries the prestigious A-grade rating from AIR radio, one of the youngest ever to receive this honor. Now residing in New Jersey, his music has resonated across the globe.
He began his musical journey at just nine years old. Over the past 17 years, he has presented over 1,200 concerts, with his music transcending borders and styles. His repertoire spans a wide range, from traditional Carnatic concerts to Bollywood music for weddings. He has also provided supporting music for dance productions and performed Indian Jazz fusion music at international festivals with his band.
His early training and inspiration were from his grandfather, Singanallur Ramaraja Iyer. His exceptional talent was recognized early when he was awarded the “Best Instrumentalist Prize” by the esteemed Madras Music Academy at the age of 14. His career is marked by numerous prestigious titles, including “Venu Gana Rathna”, “Venu Ilamamani”, “Vamshi Kaladhara”, and “Bala Kala Rathna”. In recognition of his remarkable abilities, he was granted a cultural scholarship by the government.
Aside from his musical endeavors, Visveshwar is also an alumnus of Cornell University and currently serves as a cloud product manager.
