Growing up next to a drums school inspired Manjunath’s yearning to seek a career in music, a decision supported by his mother. A child prodigy, Manju started his musical adventure at the tender age of 11. Today, Manju’s expertise ranges across pan-Indian rhythm forms.
Manjunath has accompanied legends such as S.P. Baalasubramanyam, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, K.S. Chitraa, Sonu Nigam, and Shaan. A musical maverick, he seamlessly traverses musical genres.
Manjunath has performed at prestigious international venues in more than 25 countries. Most recently, he was one of only fifty-two world class musicians and the only percussionist from India, invited to perform for six months in the mega “Expo 2020-Dubai”.
Manjunath collaborates with other accomplished artists to create Manju Drums Collective, showcasing the best of Indian music.
