Dr. Padma Sugavanam will conduct a five-day workshop for music students of all levels – ages 10+.

Varnam is a unique compositional form which serves as the perfect vehicle to nurture and hone the skills required in performance; from the basics to the very complex. This course will focus on learning methods to use varnam to understand gamakas, raga sancharas, laya vyavaharas, improve control over tala and laya, introduction to learning manodharma and more. The course will also include learning a few rare varnams.
