A widely acclaimed vidwan of Carnatic Music, R. Suryaprakash has carved a niche for himself in the hearts of rasikas all over the globe. Kamalakiran Vinjamuri
Kamalakiran Vinjamuri is a prodigious young violinist in the field of Carnatic Music. His initial guru was his grand-father, Sri. Parthasarathy Iyengar. Then he had some training from Smt. Malladi Vijayalakshmi. His father Sri.Subhash Vinjamuri, a violinist himself, started teaching him at the age of 7. When he is in the U.S., he gets his training from his father and when visiting India, he is under the tutelage of Kalaimamani A. Kanyakumari.
He has won several prizes in different music competitions, both in India as well as in the US. In December 2010 and 2013 music seasons, Kamalakiran got the Best Performer Award from Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, Chennai. Kamalakiran has been performing in all major sabhas in India since 2009. In 2014 Spirit of Youth series, Kamalakiran was selected as the best violinist in Music Academy. He has been giving many solo performances in both the US, and in India.
Trivandrum Balaji
Trivandrum Balaji, had his initial training under late Sri B. Doraiswamy of Trivandrum, Sri K.Krishna Iyengar of Trivandrum, Trivandrum Sri R. Vaidyanathan and later had his tutelage under the legendary Sangeetha Kalanidhi Palghat Sri R. Raghu. He has the privilege of accompanying various leading stars in the Carnatic Music Industry like, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. Sri N.Ramani, Sangitha Kalandhi Sri T.V.Sakaranarayanan and others. He is presently an ‘A’ Grade artist in The All India Radio, Chennai. Apart from accompanying Carnatic artists, he is also a much sought-after Mridangist in the Cinema Industry and has worked with music directors like Mr. Vidyasagar, Mr. Deva, Mr. Haris Jayaraj and others.
‘Ghatam’ Karthick
‘Ghatam’ Karthick, as he is affectionately called is known for his captivating style as a leading percussionist. Dr.Karthick has shared the stage with almost all top artists and has been featured in many respected festivals and recordings. Inheriting the legacy and heritage from his Great Gurus, Sri.T.H. Vikku Vinayakram and Kalaimamani Sri. T.H.Subash Chandran, Dr. Karthick has travelled and performed all over the world in various prestigious venues including the United Nations.
