Amritha Murali is one of the most talented, popular and sought after musicians of the current generation. Her exceptional musical instincts have been well nurtured by her parents and Gurus. She has, today, gained much acclaim and recognition within the music fraternity as an extremely gifted, well accomplished and sensitive musician.
Amritha’s music has been honed by Vidvan Sri K R Kedaranathan, Vidushi Smt Meera Kedaranathan and Vidushi Smt Rama Ravi. She is currently under the tutelage of Vidvan Sri P.S.Narayanaswamy and Vidvan Shri R.K.Shriramkumar for vocal music. She is also adept at playing the violin and trains under Vidushi Smt.T.Rukmini.
Her music showcases the value of classicism that is reflective of a hoary tradition. Endowed with a perfect blend of mellifluous voice, sharp intellect and focus on the aesthetic, Amritha’s performances are marked with erudition and emotion.
She has performed for many premier institutions and centers all over India and abroad. She has many awards to her credit and her music has earned the appreciation of the cognoscenti and the lay person alike.

She has won numerous awards and prizes as a violin artiste as well. She has performed many a concert with her guru Smt.T.Rukmini and has accompanied on the violin many senior artistes all over the country and abroad.
Amritha is an A-graded artiste of the All India Radio and Doordarshan, Chennai.
She was granted a fellowship by the Sangeet Natak Academy,New Delhi to learn advanced ragam, tanam and pallavis under Vidvan Shri B.Krishnamoorthy.
Amritha has also collaborated with Spic Macay, Natyarangam and other organisations to present several workshops, lecture demonstrations and lecture concerts. She has also rendered thematic concerts on various subjects which have won her rasikas world over.
Amritha has also sung for a dance ballet “Panchali Shabadam” directed by Smt. Jayanthi Subramaniam and participated in a few dance recitals of Smt. Chitra Visweswaran. She has lent her voice for many contemporary theatre performances directed by Smt Gowri Ramnarayan.
Amritha is also a visiting faculty by invitation at the Advanced School of Music under the auspices of The Music Academy, Madras.
She was an active member and a past Vice-President of YACM, a premier forum for the promotion of classical music amongst youth.
A bright student in academics, Amritha holds a Masters degree in Finance Management.
R K Shriramkumar belongs to the Rudrapatnam family of musicians, a family with a glorious musical tradition. He is the grandson of the venerated Vidvan Shri R K Venkatarama Shastri.
Having had his initial lessons in violin playing from Vidushi Smt Savitri Satyamurthy, Shriramkumar was trained in violin playing and vocal music by his grandfather Shri R K Venkatarama Shastri. He later received guidance in violin playing from Vidvan Shri V V Subrahmanyam and in vocal music from Sangita Kalanidhi Shri D K Jayaraman.
His skills were further honed through the association and knowledge that he gained by accompanying the doyens of Carnatic music like Sangita Kalanidhis Shri Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, Smt M S Subbulakshmi, Smt D K Pattammal, Shri D K Jayaraman, Shri Palghat K V Narayanaswamy, Smt T Brinda and others.
Shriramkumar’s discography includes, apart from his solo recordings, his violin accompaniment with reputed artistes .He has had the blessed opportunity of participating in a very unique recording entitled ‘Divine Unison’ featuring the veterans Shri Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer and Smt M S Subbulakshmi.
A recipient of many awards, Shriramkumar has traveled far and wide on concert tours. His solo performances, lec-dems and outreach programs have also been greatly received and appreciated by audiences world-wide.
He has set to music many a lyric and has also composed the music for numerous dance productions.
Manoj Siva, a prime disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi Sri Palghat Raghu, hails from a family of musicians and music lovers. A Musician and a teacher par excellence he had his initial training in mridangam under Sri Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer and Sri Srirangarajapuram Jayaraman from a tender age of six.
Manoj Siva’s playing is steeped in tradition, his tonal richness and clarity of strokes has, over the years individualized his playing and it would not be an exaggeration to say that he has, over the years, developed on the rich legacy handed over to him by his gurus and carved a style for himself. Musicians and rasikas see his complete understanding of the kritis as his trump card, given his large exposure to vocal music.
In the 30 plus years of his career, he has participated in all the prestigious festivals across India including the Music Academy Chennai from the year 1989. He has also performed at the Rashtrapati Bhavan with the legendary Shri K.V.Narayanswamy. His brilliance won acclaim not just from delighted audiences but also artistes. Manoj is a sought after accompanist and has the rare opportunity to share the stage with six generations of artistes from the legendary Iconic Carnatic musicians Smt D.K.Pattamal Smt.T Muktha, Sri D.K. Jayaraman, Sri K.V.Narayanaswamy, Sri.T.N.Krishnan, Sri T.N. Seshagopalan to name a few to today’s front ranking and upcoming musicians.
Manoj’s performances have gained recognition not just in India, but overseas too. He has performed in countries including U.S.A, Canada, London, Germany, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Belgium Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Honk Kong, Latvia.
G. Chandrasekara Sharma is one of the most sought after Ghatam artistes in the Carnatic Music circuit today. Hailing from an illustrious musical lineage, Chandrasekara Sharma grew up in a household that always had music in the air. He is the grandson of late Sri T.R. Harihara Sharma, founder of Jaya Ganesh Tala Vadya Vidyalaya in Chennai. His father is a senior and established Violin Vidvan Sri T.H. Gurumoorthy, and his uncle is the renowned Ghatams Maestro Padma Bhushan Sri T.H. Vinayakaram. His other uncle and his guru Sri T.H. Subashchandran is a leading international performer and well-established Guru for several decades. Having taken to the art of rhythm naturally, he imbibed the best from his uncle and other senior artistes, helping him create a unique style of his own. Known for his clear fingering techniques and all-round knowledge of music accompaniment and mathematics, he has established himself as one of the foremost artistes in the field of percussion today.
After his debut concert in 2000 for Vidushi Smt. Sulochana Pattabhiraman, there has been no looking back for Chandrasekara Sharma. He has been blessed to share the stage with some of the most iconic musicians of this generation. These include T.N. Krishnan, N. Ramani, T.K. Murthy, Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, Vellore G. Ramabadhran, V. Kamalakar Rao, Guruvayur Dorai, T.V. Sankaranarayanan, T.N. Seshagopalan, Trichur V Ramachandran, Bombay Sisters, Dr. Trichy Sankaran, Sudha Ragunathan, and the late Mandolin U. Srinivas. He has also accompanied other leading vidvans and vidushis of today such as Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan, S. Sowmya, N. Ravikiran, N. Vijay Siva, T.M. Krishna, Bombay Jayashri, Aruna Sairam, Ranjani and Gayatri, S. Shashank, and all the leading musicians in the younger generation. He has had the rare opportunity of performing in the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presense of Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He has also performed alongside Ambi Subramaniam, son of violin virtuoso L. Subramaniam at the Tata Theatre in Mumbai. Besides Carnatic Kutcheris, Chandrasekara Sharma has been actively involved in experimental music ensembles, instrumental medleys and fusion shows. He is also one of the founding members of the Carnatic Instrumental Band, Trinayana.
Yuva Kala Bharati from Bharat Kalachar, Bala Kala Ratna from Balakalasagaram Trust, T.R. Harihara Sharma Memorial Award from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha are some of the honours and titles that have been awarded, which recognise Chandrasekara Sharma’s talent and success. He is also an W graded artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan, Chennai. He is a Commerce Graduate from the University of Madras and has also trained in vocal music under Sri N. Vijay Siva. He has also actively given back to the arts by being an Executive Committee Member of YACM (Youth Association for Classical Music) for 5 years and has been an integral part of Svanubhava, a cultural movement in promoting the art and culture of India to students and art enthusiasts.
