The trumpet virtuoso Byron Stripling will join us to share music and stories about the relevance of music to the civil rights movement and much more.

Dhvani is proud to invite its members to this important performing arts festival showcasing some of the traditional folk art forms of our culture. These artists also need our support during this time of change and upheaval. The proceeds of this festival are all going to help artists in these and other fields.

For Carnatic music aficionados thirsting for chaste rendering of the great compositions of its maestros and a musical imagination rooted in good aesthetics and orthodox vocalisation uncluttered by gimmickry, 28-year-old Amritha Murali is a godsend.

This quartet has been conceptualized as an effort to explore the coming together of two distinct instrumental artforms within the Carnatic tradition. The melodic instruments in this collaboration, violin, and nadaswaram, come from very different cultures. So is the case with the mridangam and tavil.

Five of our dance teachers and many of their students will be presenting together a program which is the result of several workshops conducted for students and teachers.
