Sangeetha Sivakumar is among the most respected musicians in the field of Carnatic music, performing for over thirty years. While residing in Kochi, she started learning music at the age of 9, from Sri K.P. Vasu of Calicut. In 1987, she moved from Kochi to Chennai and became the disciple of the senior musician, Smt Charumathi Ramachandran.

Radhe Jaggi, a graduate of Kalakshetra Foundation, is a disciple of Leela Samson. She has a post diploma in Arts Management from Dakshina Chitra, Chennai.Radhe spent the first two years of her career performing in over sixty temples across Tamil Nadu.

Sankari Krishnan M.A. M.Phil (Music), a gold medalist from the University of Madras, was initiated into music at Thiruvanaikoil, Trichy by Shri K.S.Subramanian. His encouragement had fired a passion in Sankari to pursue music as a career.

Heartbeat Ensemble is a professional musical ensemble performing Indian Classical Music, with a lot of percussion accent with many dynamic performers, enchanting instruments and reverberating rhythms.

Vidushi S. Sowmya is one of the world’s leading exponents of the Carnatic (South Indian classical) tradition of vocal music. She is reputed for her deeply classical style and for her large repertoire spanning a wide spectrum of composers, including some of the rarest works of the Carnatic Trinity.

“Mitra” is a Bharatanatyam Margam that explores intersections in the themes of Indian poetry. The concept of prema, or eternal love, is age-old and performed by many performers from the temple to the proscenium stage.

My story starts in the beautiful, quaint city of Ottawa in Canada – where I was born. My parents noticed that I loved singing as a child, and had to be pulled away from mikes! Although they had no background in music, they returned to India when I was hardly 4, with a vision that I should sing. Whatever I am today, is on account of their foresight and encouragement towards my music!

Dr Gowri Ramnarayan has curated this centenary tribute to celebrate the legacy of DK Pattammal (1919- 2009), the matriarch of Carnatic music. Gowri's story telling is based on her research, reading and close personal interaction with the legendary vocalist.

Brindha Manickavasakan is a performing vocalist in Indian Classical Carnatic Music based in Chennai, India. She has been performing for the past 17 years, from the age of 10. She is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio, Chennai.

Nirmala Rajasekar's performances have been featured at special events --including playing for The President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam and Jazz great Ornette Coleman. Nirmala has been an empanelled artiste of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations since 1987 and has performed in many Festivals hosted by the Government of India.
